The time after most snow has melted but before the leaves of trees have grown back after winter looks very dull in places with lots of nature. I visited the city of Kotka in South-Eastern Finland during this time and decided to go for a walk through a path along the Kymijoki River there, which I know from previously living there, is very pretty during summer. The long path from the old fishing lodge at Lankingoski Rapids to the dam at the Koivukoski rapids and back is great for biking or running. It goes through forests on the coast of the river and some rural areas on the outskirts of the city. I took these pictures while walking through that path, which show how it looks during this time.
