Streams at the Rapids of Nautelankoski

The nature trail at the Nautelankoski rapids near the city of Turku is a small trail going along the Aurajoki River. The trail is very short and goes close to the river at most parts. While walking through it during early spring, I took these pictures. The leaves had not yet grown back, so the greenery around the path was not too interesting. Instead, I took pictures of the rapids at the beginning of the trail and I tried taking some abstract-looking pictures of the foam that had formed downstream in the river.

The bridge across the rapids at the beginning of the trail has a nice view of the rapids. They are not very large, but when you get close to them, they still look pretty impressive.

There was a small island of foam floating around a part of the river. The surface was pretty colorful and looked a bit like the atmosphere of some planet.
