The Tammerkoski Rapids run through the city of Tampere in Western Finland and connect two lakes surrounding the city. There used to be many factories located on the coast of the rapids, since multiple hydroelectric power stations were built there. While the factory buildings remain there, most of them have been turned to shops, restaurants, and museums.
I took these pictures while walking around the rapids during a winter day. I had hoped the old factory buildings would look impressive in heavy snowfall, but the snowfall ended up being much lighter than predicted that day.

I also took a few pictures from the Näsinpuisto Park nearby, from where the Näsijärvi Lake to the north of the city is visible.
